Though sabbaticals are technically two months or longer, I’ve decided to take a mini one, about four weeks off from my blog. I want time to reflect, research, write, and ruminate. I will miss writing my little blog, but know that I will have much to say when I return.
Like those in this photo outside the New York Public Library, I have a need to consider where I’ve been and where I’m going.
Time for reflection is a very good thing. Enjoy the sabbatical. (I seem to have been taking an unintentional sabbatical from blogging…I should really post something!) 😉
Thanks, Shari. Every so often, I need to pull back and look at the whole. Sometimes, to keep doing the same thing, is like squinting in the mirror and seeing only part of the story.
Have fun and learn lots. See you when you get back.
Thanks, Kristin. I’ve been thinking of you and the others in my wonderful critique group.
We will miss you,Diana, but rest and regrouping is always a good thing. I am so grateful for your support with my manuscript. I worked on your suggestions all day yesterday:) Savour your time in NY.
Thanks, Karen. Good luck with your book.
Sometimes we do need a short break to give our minds time to think and reflect on what we want to do and where we want to go with it.
You’re a great writer Diana, and I have no doubt your renewed spirit will give us all something to think about. Enjoy your time but please make sure you come back soon. I’ll be waiting.
So sweet of you to say that. You’re one of my favorite followers.
Nothing wrong with a Sabbatical. I keep trying. We’ll be here when you get back.
Appreciate that, Julia. Meanwhile, I’ll enjoy yours. Take care of that beautiful head of yours.
I wish that, instead of a “Like” button to click, there would be a button to click that says “Well I’m Not Thrilled That You’ll Be Gone, But I Totally Understand–and I Want To Do That, Too–But I’ll Settle For Waiting For Your Return With Wonderful New Posts.”
Good for you, Diana, and wishes for a wonderful month!
Ah, Marylin. How sweet! Yes, enjoying the break, and working my noodle in a different way. Glad you’ll still be interested when I get back. 🙂
