I’m just about finished reading The Girl Who Kicked The Hornet’s Nest. I find it fascinating to see how Stieg Larsson ramps up the tension as he progresses through his story. He has so many balls in the air, so many characters and sub-plots that by the last eighth of the book, he has the reader jumping from one scene to the next in a very short time. If he hadn’t done as good a job earlier in setting the stage and giving the details, the reader wouldn’t be able to keep up. His writing is genius at play.
